Made to Order
Made to Order
PIURE operates exclusively as a made to order clothing studio. We do not manufacture garments in advance and do not keep finished garments in stock. Every garment is individually manufactured only after an order has been placed and its essential production details have been confirmed. Each garment is produced specifically for the customer who placed the order and may require the individual purchase, allocation, preparation and cutting of materials.
Order Review and Confirmation
Every order is individually reviewed before production begins.
We may contact the customer to confirm essential production details, including, where applicable:
- the selected standard size;
- custom body measurements;
- garment length;
- colour, fabric or other selected options;
- any agreed alterations or customisations;
- other details necessary to manufacture the garment.
The customer is responsible for checking that all selected options, measurements and other information provided for production are complete and accurate.
Production begins after the essential order details have been reviewed and confirmed. This confirmation process forms an integral part of PIURE’s made to order production process.
Individual Manufacturing Process
Following confirmation of the order details, the production process may include:
- purchasing fabric or other materials required for the individual order;
- allocating materials to the customer’s garment;
- preparing and cutting fabric for that garment;
- individually sewing and assembling the garment;
- completing any selected alterations or customisations;
- hand finishing;
- carrying out a final quality inspection before dispatch.
Each garment is individually manufactured for the order to which it relates and is not taken from an inventory of finished garments.
Standard Size Orders
Selecting a standard size does not mean that a finished garment already exists.
PIURE does not maintain an inventory of completed garments in standard sizes for immediate shipment. A standard size determines the measurements used in production, but the garment itself is individually cut and sewn only after the order has been placed and confirmed.
Where the customer confirms a standard size, that selection becomes part of the production specifications for the individual order.
Custom Size and Customised Orders
Where a customer selects custom sizing, requests a non standard garment length, chooses particular options or agrees to alterations, the garment is manufactured on the basis of those individual choices and instructions.
Customers must ensure that measurements and other production information are accurate before confirming the order. PIURE manufactures the garment in reliance on the information confirmed by the customer.
Materials
Fabrics, linings, trims and other production materials may be purchased, reserved, allocated, prepared or cut specifically for an individual order.
Certain colours, fabrics or other materials may be obtained exclusively for a particular order and may not form part of PIURE’s regular material inventory.
Once material has been cut or otherwise prepared for an order, it may no longer be suitable for use in another garment or order.
Order Changes and Cancellations
A customer may request a change or cancellation before production begins. Any requested change is subject to confirmation by PIURE.
Once production has started, changes or cancellation may no longer be possible because materials may already have been purchased, reserved, allocated, prepared or cut specifically for the order, and the garment may already be in production.
The ability to change or cancel an order does not affect any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Handmade Production
Every PIURE garment is individually handmade.
Minor differences that naturally result from individual cutting, sewing and hand finishing may occur. Such minor variations do not constitute defects where they do not affect the garment’s quality, functionality or conformity with the order.
Nature of the Order
By placing an order and accepting these Made to Order Terms, the customer acknowledges that:
- PIURE does not supply finished garments from stock;
- the garment will be individually manufactured after the order has been placed and confirmed;
- the selected size, measurements, length, colour, fabric, options and agreed alterations may form part of the specifications used to produce the garment;
- production may involve the purchase, allocation, preparation and cutting of materials specifically for the individual order;
- once production has begun, the garment and the materials prepared for it may not be suitable for sale or use in relation to another customer.
Right of Withdrawal
Under Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised goods.
Where an individual PIURE order constitutes goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised goods within the meaning of Article 16(c), the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to that order.
Where the legal requirements of Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU are satisfied, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply.
Whether the exception applies is determined by the characteristics and production specifications of the individual order and the applicable law.
Further information regarding returns, refunds and statutory consumer rights is available in our Refund Policy.
Nothing in these Made to Order Terms excludes or limits any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Acceptance of These Terms
By placing an order, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Made to Order Terms before completing the purchase.
The customer also acknowledges that production may begin after the essential order details have been reviewed and confirmed and that the garment will then be individually manufactured for that order.
